Karlene, CDA, Office Manager

Before helping Dr. Schmidt open the doors to his practice in 1981, Karlene attended IVCC in Oglesby. Karlene has been a dedicated member of the team for 28 years. Her exemplary devotion to Dr. Schmidt and his patients is clearly evident. She believes detailed explanation and personal attention can help to ease patients anxiety regarding thier dental appointment.

As Office Manager Karlene understands effective communication between the patient and staff is key to a positive and beneficial dental relationship. Patient education is her top priority. Her professionalism in the practice helps patients to feel confident in their care from beginning to end.

Karlene recently celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband, Stacey. They have two grown children in college, Jamie and Jeremy. Karlene enjoys photography, fishing, running, and camping. She is undoubtedly dedicated to family and friends devoting much time to her loved ones.

Karlene generously gives back to the community. She has been dedicated to the Boy Scout Troop #5 since her son, Jeremy was in 1st grade. Karlene recently became a board member of the Somonauk Education Foundation, which provides resources that enhance the quality of education to the students of Somonauk School Dist.
